My main colours throughout each page were black and red, becuase they are the main colours associated with St. Mark's. I chose to make this a weekly magazine becuase it keeps everyone in touch with what is going on in and around the school. The magazine is free becuase I don't feel as if it should have been paid for, and the target audience perhaps wouldn't have paid for it. I chose the name 'St. Mark's Weekly' becuase it is recognisable straight away and the audience know what magazine it is. In the left third of my magazine I have placed the school logo, so that it is clear what the magazine is for. I also placed the titles and descriptions of the top stories in the magazine so that it would attract the audience.
I kept my contents page simple but kept the colours the same as the front page. I separated the pictures from the page titles but still made sure that the pictures related to the contents page.
